The Fiber Arts Festival
Saturday, October 5th, 2019
BSB Gallery is proud to present The Fiber Arts Festival, a celebration of all creative avenues for fiber based arts in one massive public yarn bombing. Join BSB Gallery in conjunction with the Trenton Downtown Association, Saturday, October 5th 11am-5pm (rain date: Sunday, October 6th, 11am-5pm) to participate in a live yarn bombing in Mill Hill Park, alongside individuals of all skill levels, food and craft vendors, children's activities, and live local music.
“What is fiber bombing?”
Fiber Bombing is a type of graffiti or street art that employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted or other fiber rather than paint or chalk. It is the action or activity of covering objects or structures in public places with decorative knitted or crocheted material, as a form of street art.
During The Fiber Arts Festival, participants will decorate Mill Hill Parks trees using squares, patches and other fiber works. More supplies for impromptu creations will be on hand for those wanting to jump in on the fun! Once completed, the Fiber Bomb will be up and on display for 2 weeks for the Trenton community to enjoy!
